Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Loxahatchee

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. - A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Loxahatchee Thursday evening.
The adult female was found by rescue crews lying in the swale near the road, said Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, Borroto said.
The accident happened at 9 p.m. at the intersection of W. Sycamore Drive and Calamondin Boulevard.
Borroto said the investigation was turned over to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
