LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. - Palm Beach County Deputies have identified the identities of the victim and suspect involved in a Sunday morning murder-suicide in Loxahatchee.

PBSO detectives said 48-year-old Jennifer Cornwall was shot on the 17000 block of Orange Boulevard by her 50-year-old husband Owen Cornwall, just before 1 a.m., Sunday.

According to detectives, Jennifer was staying at the location where the murder took place and was separated from Owen, who was upset after learning about her involvement with a new boyfriend.

Deputies said the suspect got into a fight with the woman, then shot and killed her.

There were other people at the home at the time of the crime. According to PBSO, witnesses wrestled the gun from the Owen. He then fled by foot to his home on 48th Avenue North.

According to detectives, he then got another gun that he used to shoot and kill himself in his garage.

PBSO stated this case is exceptionally cleared.
