LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. - A house fire in Loxahatchee put one man in the hospital and damaged 1,800 acres of land Thursday night.
Palm Beach Fire Rescue officials say the fire started in one of the bedrooms, but the cause is still under investigation.
One male victim was taken to Palms West Hospital with minor injuries. According to the owner, two family pets died in the blaze.
The fire started around 7:30 p.m., but Fire Rescue officials say the flames were under control by 9:00 p.m.
