Worker riding back of garbage truck in Loxahatchee dies after being pinned underneath

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. -- A garbage truck worker is dead after being pinned underneath the truck in an accident this afternoon.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews responded to reports of a dump truck on its side at 91 Place North and Calamondin Boulevard in Loxahatchee around 12:49 p.m.

According to reports, the worker was pinned under the truck when it flipped.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.

The initial report stated that the driver was the victim, but the sheriff's office later clarified that it was a worker on the truck who died in the accident.
