THE ACREAGE, Fla. --  Flood waters in parts of The Acreage are receding, slowly but surely.

Friday morning, evidence of progress could be seen on many of the main roads and some of the side roads.

But some homeowners haven't seen much change in the past few days, with water still standing in their yards and lining their streets.

Rescue crews have been going door-to-door, handing out food, water and other essentials when needed.

The county health department is still warning folks on Friday to wash any body part that comes in contact with the flood water.

And anyone needing help with livestock can still call 561-233-1200 or the EOC hotline.

People living in the flooded areas are looking forward to the weekend, which has low rain chances.
