LANTANA, Fla. - A teenager died after being found in a pool Wednesday evening in Lantana.
Rescue units arrived around 7 p.m. at 1440 West Duval Street and found the teen at the bottom of a pool, said Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
Firefighters pulled the boy out of the water and immediately began treating him. The boy was rushed to Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach in critical condition, Borroto said.
Detectives are investigating the death, including the possibility that it may have been a suicide, said Teri Barbera, spokeswoman for Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
