LANTANA, Fla. - A section of Lantana Road west of Congress Avenue was shut down around 4 p.m. on Wednesday while crews from Florida Public Utilities attempted to repair a 2-inch gas line that was hit during work in the swale area near the Rosalita Restaurant Plaza, according to Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
The leak was stopped around 6:30 p.m.. and Lantana Road reopened to traffic, Borroto said.
FPU crews will continue to work to repair the damaged line.
