Pedestrian killed in Lantana identified

LANTANA, Fla. - A man killed Saturday morning after being struck by a taxicab while crossing the street on the 1200 block of Lantana Road has been identified.
The victim was identified as Robert Howard McNairy, 64, of Lantana, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office press release.
McNairy was trying to cross Lantana Road, east of N. 13th Street, in front of a Kentucky Fried Chicken, when he walked into the path of a van driving eastbound and was struck.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue
The accident is under investigation.
