Rescue crews responded to a commercial structure fire in Lantana today.
When crews arrived at the scene at All States Aluminum Product and Powder Coating at 854 Dixie Highway around 1:30 p.m., they found a coating oven on fire, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue spokesperson Albert Borroto.
Some cardboard boxes some workers had placed inside ignited.
The fire was quickly extinguished by crews.
Three people were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene, but no one was sent to the hospital.
Borroto said smoke drifted into nearby bays and crews used ventilation to clear that out.
The company, which makes hurricane shutters and applies powder coatings, should be open for business again Thursday, said owner Janine Gil, who was among the handful of employees who had to evacuate the building. A business that leases space in the back also evacuated.
Sonja Isger and Cynthia Roldan, Palm Beach Post, contributed to this report.
