Two Polo Park Middle School students arrested after unloaded gun found on campus

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Two Palm Beach County students were arrested after a unloaded handgun was found on the campus of Polo Park Middle School on Wednesday, according to a statement from Palm Beach County School System.

A 15-year-old male student was charged with possession of an unloaded handgun. A second male student, 13, also was arrested in connection with the incident, said Natalia Arenas, public affairs specialist.

Arenas did not specify the connection between the 13-year-old and the unloaded gun.

Both students were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.

The  incident is under investigation.
