LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Hundreds of folks lined up Sunday afternoon along Lake Avenue in Lake Worth for the annual Pridefest parade.
Pridefest honors the culture and heritage of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender folks in our community.
Local politicians, community organizations and area businesses were out showing their support.
"I'm a big activist with people coming out and being happy and being who they are," said Nicole Saphire. "And it means a lot that a community can come together and support each other and be 100 percent successful but happy."
Organizers say the parade gets bigger and bigger with each passing year and they expect more than 10,000 people to be in attendance during this year's festivities.
