Person shot during robbery Saturday evening in suburban Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - A person was shot during the course of a robbery Saturday evening in suburban Lake Worth, according to Teri Barbera, spokeswoman for Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The robbery happened around 9:50 p.m. near Lake Worth Road and Urquhardt Street.

The victim, whose gender and name were not released, received one shot to the leg and was taken to the hospital, Barbera said.

Deputies are searching for the suspect.
