LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews battled of a house fire in the 500 block of Tallulah Road in Lake Worth Thursday morning.
Fire Rescue Spokesperson Albert Borroto said several units responded around 5:45 a.m. to find the home engulfed in flames.
"Fire was shooting out of the sides and the front of the home," Borroto said.
Borroto said firefighters found a woman and her adult son outside the home. Both were taken to the local hospital with minor injuries.
The home's neighbor said he saw the fire this morning and used his hose to try and control the flames before firefighters arrived.
Borroto said investigators have not determined a cause as of yet, but the fire was mainly concentrated in the back of the home by the bedroom.
Heavy bush and vegetation around the home made it hard for crews to put the fire out, Borroto said. It took them about 30 minutes to put out the flames.
