One dead in crash involving semi-truck, van in suburban Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- One person is dead after a crash involving a semi-truck in suburban Lake Worth.

The accident occurred near the Intersection of Lake Worth Road and Lyons Road.

According to PBSO, a semi-truck slowing down for a school bus was struck from behind by a white work van. The fatality occurred in the work van.

The victim was identified as 53-year-old Gerald Berry from Miramar.

According to a report, Berry failed to stop for traffic, slammed into the tractor trailer, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
