Man shot in car while being driven on Hypoluxo Road in Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- A man was shot while being driven through Lake Worth Tuesday morning, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Teri Barbera.

Barbera said the injured man, who was the car's passenger, was shot in the thigh on Hypoluxo Road around 1 a.m. The driver was not hurt.

The driver of the vehicle later pulled into the Anchor Inn Restaurant where deputies set up crime scene tape and began investigating.

The shooting victim’s name hasn’t been released. He was treated and released from Delray Medical Center.

No arrests have been made at this time.
