— A 28-year-old man was arrested Wednesday evening after entering a home without permission while armed with a machete, according to a Palm Beach County sheriff's probable-cause affidavit.

Marlon Aguilar of Lake Worth was arrested on charges of armed burglary and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail, records show.

Deputies were called to the victim's home in suburban Lake Worth around 6 p.m. Wednesday after they received a call about a burglary.

The 14-year-old victim and her brother said their friend David Rodriguez stopped by. He said Aguilar, his mother's boyfriend, thought they had burglarized his apartment and stole his laptop and Playstation games.

Then in walked Aguilar, armed with a machete, the affidavit said.

The victim denied being part of a burglary in Aguilar's home.

Aguilar was holding the machete "above his head in a threatening matter," according to the affidavit.

Deputies then went to Aguilar's home and interviewed him. Aguilar admitted to entering the home armed with a machete and said he shouldn't have done it, but that he just wanted his property back, the affidavit said.
