What appears to be human remains were found wrapped in a garbage bag in front of an abandoned Lake Worth home on Monday, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies discovered the scene after responding to a suspicious odor complaint in the 1300 block of South L Street.

The remains have been taken to the medical examiner's office where an autopsy will be performed to determine identity and cause of death.
