Gas leak closed Lake Avenue in Lake Worth, as crews worked to fix the problem

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Emergency crews from both West Palm Beach Fire Rescue and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the 700 block of Lake Ave in Lake Worth Sunday morning, following reports of a gas leak. 

Upon arrival, crews closed all gas lines in the area, and evacuated the surrounding buildings. 

Eastbound traffic along Lake Ave was also closed at Dixie Highway, as firefighters waited for crews from Florida Public Utilities to arrive.
