Child seriously injured after being hit by minivan in Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - A child was seriously injured after being struck by a minivan in Lake Worth Saturday afternoon, said Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach Fire Rescue.
He said the child was flown to Delray Medical Center. There is no word on the extent of the injuries. The age and sex of the victim also were not disclosed.
The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Melaleuca Lane and S. Congress Avenue.
There is no further information available at this time.
