— Palm Beach County Sheriff's homicide detectives have found a body in the apartment of a missing Lake Worth man. Saturday morning, firefighters found the missing man's apartment in flames and blood in a bedroom, a spokeswoman said Saturday afternoon.

Rogelio Perez, who lives in the 600 block of South Dixie Highway, was last seen around 11 p.m. Friday driving a 2004 white Ford F-150 pickup truck with Florida tag 312 MZX.

PBSO says it is unclear whether the dead person found in the apartment is Perez or someone else. An autopsy will be conducted this weekend.

Perez is described as weighing 140 pounds and is about 5-foot-7, according to a statement released by spokeswoman Teri Barbera.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews were called to Perez's home around 7 a.m. Saturday morning to extinguish a fire.

Crews saw the blood and notified sheriff's deputies, who then obtained a search warrant to enter.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Amber Bates at (561) 644 5412 or Crime Stoppers at 1-(800) 458-TIPS (8477).
