LAKE WORTH, Fla. - A man killed Sunday afternoon after his bicycle was struck by a van in Lake Worth has been identified as 39-year-old Aurelio Hilario Ramon.

Ramon, of Lake Worth, tried to go from the sidewalk toward the median on 6 th Avenue South when he crossed in front of a 1994 Chevy van driven by 23-year-old Sharonda Fuller of Lake Worth, according to a media report from the Palm Beach County Sherriff’s Office.

The report said Fuller was traveling westbound in the inside lane when she hit Ramon. Ramon hit the hood and windshield of her van before falling onto the pavement. He died at the scene.

The PBSO report states that Fuller attempted to avoid the crash and was not negligent in the accident. In an earlier report, PBSO had described the accident as a hit-and-run, but not in the final report.

The accident happened around 3:15 p.m.
