Authorities have released the names of two people who died in a car crash Friday night along South Military Trail in suburban Lake Worth.

Allen Holyfield, 43, and 60-year-old Thomas Tetrault died Friday at 7:06 p.m. when a car collided into the passenger side of their vehicle on the corner of South Military Trail and Clement Street, said Palm Beach County Sheriff's vehicle homicide investigators.

According to the report of the fatal crash, Holyfield was in a northbound direction when he turned left and headed in a westbound direction onto Clement Street. That's when a 2000 Crown Victoria, driven by 18-year-old Johan Martinez, crashed into the passenger's side of Holyfield's 1995 Jeep Wrangler.

The crash threw both Tetrault and Holyfield from his Jeep. Tetrault was taken to Delray Medical Center where he later died. Holyfield was killed at the scene. Investigators noted in the report that Holyfield was not wearing his seatbelt, but Tetrault was wearing his.

Meanwhile, Martinez was taken to JFK Medical Center in Atlantis with minor injuries where he was treated and later released.

The report did not elaborate on any possible pending charges or who was at fault in the crash.
