PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. – Traffic at several Palm Beach County bridges was halted temporarily Thursday night as a helicopter filmed the crossings for "Parker," an upcoming film starring Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham..
The PBC Film & Television Commission shut down access to bridges that lead to the town of Palm Beach from Southern Boulevard.
The commission says residents and business owners in the vicinity of the eastern area of central West Palm Beach could observe the helicopter flying over the Intracoastal Waterway between 7 and 8 p.m.
Because heavy police presence was involved, the group made the film shoot public so that bystanders did not panic and confuse the action film to be a real life emergency.
According to the commission, the aircraft will be flew at non-standard patterns, and stayed within the guidelines of the low-flying waiver.
There were approximately five to 10 boats in the water with flashing lights. The aerial production was coordinated with the Federal Aviation Administration.
