PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - Students enrolled in the iGeneration Empowerment Academy now have to scramble to find new schools.
The school decided to close for good one day before the Palm Beach County Schools superintendent planned to formally recommend that the school be closed immediately.
Last week the school board gave iGeneration 90 days to finish construction of its West Palm Beach campus. But that was before a student was reported missing during the school day.
The school opened its doors 16 days after the start of the school year and teachers said they haven't been paid.
Parents have been told to send their children to their nearest public school.
