HYPOLUXO, Fla. -

Two adults, four birds and two dogs were left homeless Saturday afternoon after a fire destroyed their mobile home on Loafing Street in Hypoluxo.

The local chapter of the American Red Cross responded and provided lodging, food, clothing and money

The adults and pets escaped safely, but Gilles Lucas, a Red Cross spokesman, said the Red Cross was having difficulty finding lodging that would accept the pets.
