GREENACRES, Fla. - Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies say a cleaning lady not only cleaned up for her clients, she cleaned them out.
Deputies say she targeted the elderly and may have taken hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.
Clients say Leyci Ruiz charged $50 to clean an apartment.
They also say she did an outstanding job.
"They were very thorough," one said.
Documents show deputies were investigating complaints by Ruiz's customers.
Rings, jewels, bracelets, all missing.
"I said, 'there was a theft, that you took something, so nonchalant,' " the client said, who asked that she remain anonymous to avoid retribution.
Deputies say they found some of the things that she allegedly stole at Queen of Pawns on Military Trail in suburban Lake Worth.
As soon as her picture was shown to the staff members, they recognized her as a frequent visitor.
"I didn't really deal with her. She had her favorite employees," one employee said.
After arresting Ruiz, deputies say they might be able to link her to $130,000 of stolen goods over the last eleven years, mostly from senior citizens.
One client says she's still trying to figure out if anything is missing.
"I don't care what the age. Anybody who takes advantage of anybody is a no no in my book." said the client.
A man at Ruiz's address on the police report says he never heard of her.
She has been released from the Palm Beach County Jail.
She faces charges of larceny and taking advantage of seniors.
