A Greenacres man is behind bars today after his arrest Sunday for allegedly raping a woman Sunday.
Eduardo Sanchez, 31, is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail. He is facing charges of sexual assault.
Greenacres Police spoke with a 28-year-old woman Sunday after responding to reports of an attempted rape. The woman told officers that Sanchez was in her home when she went to her bedroom to retrieve money he had given her but wanted back.
When she walked to the bedroom to give him the money, he forced her onto the bed, according to the arrest report.
The woman struggled against him while he told her to relax because he was going to do “what he wanted anyway,” the report said. She added that despite her pleas, it wasn’t until she threatened to call the police that he stopped.
When officers confronted him, Sanchez admitted to the assault, according to the report.
