Four children, one adult hospitalized after Greenacres apartment fire

Five people, including four childen, were hospitalized after an apartment fire Saturday morning in Greenacres.

Greenacres Fire Rescue received a call around 6 a.m. of a fire in the 2100 block of White Pine Circle. Fire investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen. 

There were six people in the apartment at the time of the fire; four of the six were children.

The children and one adult were hospitalized for smoke inhalation and are expected to be OK.

The mother was able to jump from the second floor to escape the fire and did not have to go to hospital.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire.
