GREENACRES, Fla. - Suchira Eames embraces someone else's memories.
"The black table, the couch, the cabinet, the lamp," said Eames.
Memories that once belonged to a world war two veteran.
"I'm thankful, its really nice stuff," said Eames.
Belongings, recently donated to help other military men and women ended up at the Forgotten Soldiers thrift store.
"We received a whole bedroom set couches, living room set, the full entire house of the furniture," said Zelnar.
Lynelle Zelnar of Forgotten Soldiers says the unnamed veterans estate gave the store 50 thousand dollars in valuables last month.
And it includes treasures like this old book once autographed by its illustrator…
Proceeds allow the organization to make and ship care packages for deployed soldiers…
"Its amazing, its like being a kid in the candy store your opening the boxes up and seeing these archives these things that belongs to these people and I saw wow, they're really donating that to us," said Zelnar.
For Suchira, a veteran's wife, her daily shopping routine isn't about the deal she gets… but what is ultimately given back to those serving our country.
"Even though i dont buy nothing i support and donate," said Eames.
The address for the thrift stores are Buttonwood plaza the southeast corner of jog Road in 10th Ave. in Greenacres 3032 Jog Rd.
