WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A gas leak caused the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center to be evacuated Saturday morning, says Captain Albert Borroto, Public Information Officer for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue
Fire Rescue responded to the gas leak shortly after 10 a.m. in the 3200 block of Gun Club Road.
According to Borroto, initial reports stated there was a strong smell of gas from a kitchen area. An air sample near the location recorded acceptable readings.
The entire building lost power during the incident. Workers at the dispatch center were evacuated to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Dispatch center on Military Trail as a precaution.
Borroto says there are no injuries at this time.
