FBI warns of fake letters claiming to be from supervisor of elections

There's a warning out for voters: Fake letters claiming to be from the supervisor of elections office have been mailed out all over the state. 

The letters question the citizenship of the voter and states the voter has 15 days to prove their citizenship status or be removed from the voters roll.

So far, numerous people in 23 counties have received these letters.

The FBI, department of justice and other state agencies are trying to track the source of these letters.

They're coming out of Seattle, Washington with no return address.

Those responsible could be charged with voter fraud and face up to five years in prison along with a $5,000.00 fine.

Authorities ask that you contact them at 877-868-3737 if you've received a letter.
