WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A warning for Palm Beach County Utilities customers.

Starting Tuesday, June 15, the company will begin flushing drinking water lines. The process will continue for one month.

As a result, customers may notice a slight chlorine taste or odor in the water.

Authorities say it's harmless. However, customers who use home kidney dialysis machines, or owners of tropical fish should take steps to remove the extra chlorine from tap water.

Customers of Glades Utility Authority in Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay are not affected.

Customers with questions can call the utility during normal business hours at (561) 740-4600.
