SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH -

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of a suspect for the murder of a West Palm Beach jewelry store owner.

Hasan Jones faced a judge this morning on homicide charges in connection with the July 26th robbery and shooting inside of the West Palm Coin & Jewelry Exchange.

During the robbery attempt, two masked armed men followed the store's owner John Lauseng into the store. Lauseng attempted to flee from the store but was shot in the back and arm. He was able to make it to a nearby convenience store where he collapsed. He was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center where he later died.
