WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals gathered outside of Belvedere Elementary School for a protest Friday morning.
PETA protested the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus that is coming to the South Florida Fairgrounds later this month.
Members of the group promised to hand out activity books to children that show how circuses treat elephants.
The school board has asked PETA to move the demonstration so it does not affect students.
