Preliminary damage estimates from Tropical Storm Isaac for Palm Beach County are $71 million according to the Palm Beach County Emergency Operations Center.

The amount is self-reported to the county by individual cities, taxing districts and other government agencies.

Indian Trail is reporting $59 million in damages.

The Palm Beach County EOC says this is assessment mostly includes damage to government infrastructure and entities.

The county will report these numbers to the state, which will in turn report them to the federal government.

FEMA ultimately decides whether or not federal help will be available, but the EOC says at this point it looks like the state of Florida met the federal government's monetary damage amount threshold.

The state threshold for FEMA is about $25 million.
