PORT ST. LUCIE - Christian Medina, the 16-year-old Port St. Lucie teen injured in a car accident Wednesday, has died of his injuries, his mother told TCPalm.com on Sunday.
Christian’s organs have been donated to help others, said his mother, Madeline Medina. Although they don’t know all the details, she said, they know a kidney went to a person in New York.
Medina said her son had been on life support at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce since he was hospitalized following the 7 a.m. single-car accident on Orange Avenue.
Two passengers, brothers Timothy and Peter Green, both 15 and of Port St. Lucie, were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Peter has been released from the Lawnwood while the latest reports have Timothy remaining in Lawnwood.
