State Attorney candidate, Dave Aronberg (D), is the subject of a state ethics complaint. Aronberg calls the latest development, “political silly season”.

The memo from the State Commission on ethics, dated October 16th, says the complaint has been forwarded to the commission's investigative team.

A Palm Beach Gardens man who filed the complaint accuses Aronberg of doing political work on state time. Aronberg is also accused of unethically forcing a sitting state attorney from the race by hiring protesters.

Aronberg says the investigation will find he did nothing wrong.

"It's just not true. I'm not the first candidate to be the subject of complaints, nor the last. This is the silly season of politics for all these politically timed frivolous complaints knowing they won't be dismissed until after the election. It's really dirty politics if you ask me. I'm going to keep talking positive and tell you what I'm going to do against gangs,” said Aronberg (D).

Republican candidate for State Attorney, Dina Keever, says she has never met the man who filed the complaint.
