Indian River State College is a busy polling place in St. Lucie County.  95-hundred voters are registered to cast ballots.

The crowds have been steady since about 4 o'clock but no major lines.

At the Minsky Gym in Port St. Lucie, the lines have picked up and some people are waiting about 45 minutes.

Some interesting local races are on the ballot, perhaps none more so than the race for Congress.

Republican Allen West is looking to defeat Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy.

I caught up with West as he made a stop in Palm City this afternoon. He feels a renewed sense of enthusiasm among his supporters because of the challenges ahead. "The debt is astronomical, the deficit, when you look at our energy policy, we're lacking in an energy policy, and now we have to be concerned about our national security," said Congressman West.

This is one of the most expensive races in the country.  West had a 17-million dollar war chest, Murphy nearly 4 million.
