RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - In newly released numbers, Allen West has a slim lead over Patrick Murphy amongst Palm Beach County voters.
Election workers have been counting absentee ballots all day at the Palm Beach County tabulations center.
Workers have been going through and doing duplications on misprinted absentee ballots.
In a report just released by Elections Supervisor Susan Bucher, nearly 16,000 absentee ballots have been counted Wednesday.
There are still about 8,000 absentee ballots to be counted we are being told and more provisional ballots.
Currently Allen West has 64,778 votes in Palm Beach County, while Patrick Murphy has 64,470 among Palm Beach County voters.
Bucher said she hopes they're done counting the ballots by the end of the day, but it could go into the morning.
Lawyers from West's campaign as well as Murphy's campaign are watching waiting to see how much of an effect the ballots being counted will have on the overall race.
