She is the queen of talk. "She's kind of an American icon, and you know it just shows you the power of if you have a dream and you put your mind to it that you can actually achieve great things," said Anthony Pizzarelli, an Oprah fan.
It seems everything Winfrey touches from television, radio, magazines, movies and product endorsements, to turn to gold. She doesn't just entertain an audience, she's had an impact on the way businesses operate.
"There's been companies that's been trying to get on the Oprah show for over 7 years knowing that Oprah can bring their profit from $300,000 up to a million dollars in a matter of months," said Jean Rodriguez, a marketing student at Northwood University.
She's also had an impact on society, showing viewers how to become successful.
"She has helped people with a concept an idea throughout the world and they have because of her started very successful businesses," said Rose Bellanca, the Provost at Northwood University.
The final new episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" will air on May 25th.
