MIAMI, Fla. - Photographs released Wednesday document the lives of Jorge and Carmen Barahona and their adoptive children. The images are in stark contrast to pictures the Miami-Dade State Attorney released last week, and also to the scene that unfolded on the side of Interstate 95 in February of 2011.

The body of Nubia Barahona, 10, was found partially decomposed in Jorge Barahona's pickup truck. Her twin brother, Victor, was discovered covered in chemicals. Victor survived the ordeal.

Newschannel 5 had requested all of the evidence available as public record in the Barahona case. Newly released photographs show a smiling Nubia, seemingly happy, along with her twin brother, Victor, and her adoptive parents Jorge and Carmen Barahona. The couple is now accused in Nubia's death.

More than 360 photographs were released by the Miami-Dade State Attorney, most of which show the Barahona family in, perhaps, a happier time. Pictures show the family at the amusement park with other young children and siblings of the victims.

Prosecutors released another batch of photographs last week showing the inside of the Barahona's West Miami-Dade home. Law enforcement took the pictures of what they say was a crime scene. Several images were of the home's bathtub, where investigators said the Barahona's tied Nubia and Victor up, allegedly locking them in the bathroom for days. Other previously released pictures showed Nubia's bedroom where investigators say the girl was beaten to death by her parents.

The Barahonas had been in Palm Beach County not long before Nubia's lifeless body was discovered next to Interstate 95. New photographs show the family visiting Lion Country Safari, seemingly happy.

The Barahonas have both pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and child abuse charges. On Wednesday, a circuit court judge in Miami postponed making a decision concerning the Barahona's legal request to have two separate trials. No trial date(s) have been set.
