COLLEGE PARK, Md - ABC2 News spoke with Maryland State Troopers early Thursday morning after drivers reported seeing what looking like a UFO passing by College Park.

Twitter started lighting up late Wednesday night into Thursday morning with the #beltwayufo as the hash tag search.

WTOP radio reported that the aircraft is 82 feet long, 32 feet wide and 14 feet high

Dispatchers at the Maryland State Police McHenry Barrack told ABC2 News that they were told to give the plane eight cruisers to escort it to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station in southern Maryland and that it had to be delivered by 4:00am Wednesday. The plane ended up arriving a little after midnight.

A local TV station and a radio station reported from this past weekend that the aircraft passed near Champaign, Illinois on I-57 and was a X -47B drone.
