The Today Show interviewed KONY 2012 creator Jason Russell after his video effort to find warlord Joseph Kony reached over 64 million views on YouTube and Vimeo combined.

Russell said in the interview with Today Show's Ann Curry that he thinks the effort has been so successful thus far because it is a "human story."

"We're living on a planet floating in eternity and we can connect with each other," Russell said.

Russell said over half a million "action kits" have been ordered.
