CLEVELAND - A man who threatened officers in Cleveland is making a court-ordered public apology by standing near a police station with a sign describing himself as an idiot.
On Monday, 58-year-old Richard Dameron stood outside Cleveland’s Second District Police Headquarters wearing a sign apologizing to former “super cop” Jim Simone.
Dameron will have to wear the sign three hours a day for the rest of the week. Police said he threatened to kill his son’s girlfriend and Officer Simone back in February.
During his career, Simone was shot twice, including once in the head.
