Piedmont High School 'Fantasy Slut League' concerns administration, parents

Administrators at Piedmont High School in California have responded in a big way after finding out about the so-called "Fantasy Slut League".

The principal says girls were rated by fellow male students based on sexual activity.

A letter sent by principal Rich Kitchens describes, "a 'fantasy slut league' in which our female students (unbeknownst to most of them) are drafted as part of the league... male students earn points for documented engagement in sexual activities with female students."

According to the letter, school staff learned about the 'league' during a recent assembly about date rape prevention.

An investigation was launched on campus and they learned this had been going on for five to six years.

The principal wrote, "participation often involved pressure manipulation by older students that included alcohol to impair judgment and control and social demands to be popular."

"We wanted to make sure that parents were aware of things that were going in their kids' lives," Kitchens said.

Administrators say they issued the letter in an effort to be proactive.

They are planning a series of on campus assemblies with lessons about preventing a similar incident in the future.

KGO reported that the school says there's no indication anyone was forced to participate in the league or that any crimes were committed, but they continue to investigate.
