ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) - A woman who was taken off a plane at Detroit Metro Airport and questioned on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 is speaking out, saying she was a victim of racial profiling.
Thirty-five-year-old Shoshana Hebshi says she was handcuffed, strip-searched and interrogated for hours because of her Middle Eastern appearance. Hebshi describes herself as half-Arabic, half-Jewish with a dark complexion.
Hebshi shares her experiences in great detail in her blog.
Crew on board Frontier Flight 623 reported two people were spending a substantial amount of time in the bathroom. Those two men were apparently sitting next to Hebshi on the plane.
All three were taken into custody when the plane landed at Metro Airport, but were later released.
