The deadline for Occupy L.A. protesters to leave the City Hall grounds came and went at midnight Pacific time. As police step up their presence, a new app has been launched on the demonstrators' website.

An "I'm Getting Arrested" app is being promoted on the Occupy L.A. website. It promises to, "Alert your lawyer, loved ones, etc. that you are being arrested with a click."

Early Monday morning, protesters appeared to be staying put, the park was still packed with hundreds of protesters despite the order by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Villaraigosa  said police would not immediately begin making arrests to give protesters time to leave, but police are prepared to make arrests if necessary.
