New $100 bills will be showing up at banks this week.
The Federal Reserve board says the new currency will begin circulating Tuesday.
New security features include a blue, 3-d security ribbon that makes it easier to authenticate, and harder to counterfeit.
The ribbon isn’t printed on the bill, its woven into the paper.
Another security feature is a color-shifting image of the Liberty Bell inside an inkwell that changes from copper to green when the bill is turned.
And the familiar watermark is still in place, revealing the face of Benjamin Franklin when held up to a light source.
