Kyle Dyer KUSA-TV Denver TV anchor back after dog bite

DENVER - A Denver television news anchor who was bitten by a dog on live TV has returned to work.

Kyle Dyer of KUSA-TV was back on the set Monday, more than a month after she was bitten in the face by an 85-pound Argentine mastiff.

It happened during a segment with the dog's owner and a firefighter who had rescued the pet from an icy pond.

She received 90 stitches and underwent two operations. She has V-shaped scar lines on the top of her mouth, but no longer has difficulty talking.

Dyer said last week it may take months to get feeling back on her lips.

Dyer called the incident an accident. She says she's glad the dog is home after it spent 10 days in mandatory quarantine.
