(NBC News) Michael Jackson's mother took the stand Friday in the wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG Live.
It's the first time Katherine Jackson has been a witness in any trial involving her son's death.
In her emotional testimony, she told jurors she and her family are suing AEG to find out what really happened to Michael.
The 83-year old, who has attended almost every day of the wrongful death trial since it began in April, broke down in tears several times and told jurors it's been difficult to "sit here and hear all the bad stuff they're saying about my son."
